I like to write. I also like to avoid writing. This is a conflict of interest.
I like to write freely. I also like to critique myself harshly. This is another conflict of interest.
I like to think I am unique in my conflicts of interest. I know with certainty that I am not. And so I originally started this as a free writing prompt site and invited others to write freely and badly with me. I still think you should write freely and badly with me, but I’m too flaky to post a prompt every week. So now I’m just going to post whenever, whatever and not really call it anything.
And I’m not going to edit, for crying out loud, so when I write dumb stuff, it has to stay. It’s good exercise for my big stupid ego.
This may turn out to be a painful addiction. We’ll have to see but right from the start I’m amazed and very impressed with the notion. I hope I have the wherewithal…
